The Clothesline Project is a global event that bears witness to violence against women. Instructor Mindy Stokes and her students created a clothesline to raise awareness. The exhibit currently hangs on the main floor of the college's Towler Hall. Learn more about the Clothesline Project.

Statistics on violence in the U.S. and around the world: In the U.S.: 1 in 3 girls will be sexually abused by the age of 18 In the US, 1 in 5 boys will be sexually abused by the age of 18 In the US, and 1 in 4 women will be raped in her lifetime.

Domestic violence is the number one cause of injury to women in the U.S. The United Nations reports that between 33-70% of women will be a victim of violence sometime in her lifetime. View this fact sheet for more details.
